New Year, New You

Is NYE a once-a-year chance to start over? Or a reminder to choose change every day?

In my twenties, I always wanted New Year’s Eve to be the biggest night of the year. I pictured myself dressed up in sequins and heels, dancing at some sort of Gatsby-esque bash —red lipstick, chandeliers dripping in crystals, champagne in hand.

I chased this idea year after year, buying overpriced tickets for this party or that, planning outfits with friends, and, inevitably, ending up disappointed.
